This parka was hand made by a Canadian Inuk Artist from Arviat. The purse is by Rannva Design in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada. It is part of a program SEWING FOR SURVIVAL to enable women of the Arctic to make some money and at the same time improve the quality of their lives through the creative use of their indigenous skills. They take great pride in creating unique designs inspired by their cultural heritage, producing quality products. Part of the proceeds of the sale go back to Qimaavik Women's Shelter.
